About Stephanie Pride

Stephanie is a professional futurist with extensive experience and a deep commitment to innovative practice. She has worked in New Zealand, Australia and the UK in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors as well as academia. With a career that spans from operations to strategy and a background that includes both arts and sciences, she has long track record of working across sectors and disciplines. She is experienced at tailoring futures services to the needs of any client. Stephanie’s futuring in New Zealand has included setting up and leading the SSC Futures Programme for the New Zealand state sector and driving system change as Chief Advisor for the NZ-OECD Schooling for Tomorrow project, Secondary Futures. Stephanie currently heads StratEDGY Strategic Foresight, a consultancy helping sectors, businesses, organisations and teams anticipate and adjust to change. StratEDGY provides comprehensive anticipation, change and adaptation services as well as integrity of practice assessments and support. As well as using an extensive suite of standard futures, strategy and change techniques, StratEDGY draws on research in brain science, psychology, management, creativity, innovation and learning to develop new practices to meet your changing needs in the second decade of the 21st century. Recent StratEDGY activities include: Working with the NZ Stroke Foundation on the future of stroke Working with national institutions on the future of digital preservation Delivering free, on-line, game-based public conversations about future issues of national significance using Institute for the Future's Foresight Engine A multi year “NZ Inc.” project on external markets with Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade integrating cross-agency approaches & futures approaches Research & futures design for Victoria University of Wellington’s The Future State. StratEDGY currently provides services in New Zealand and Australia as well as consultancy to international organisations.
