About Stephanie Purdom

I am a licensed independent social worker and the founder and executive director of Wild Hope Therapy. I specialize in womxn’s behavioral health, perinatal mental health, and interpersonal and complex trauma. At Wild Hope, we aim to create a collaborative environment where other therapists can grow and thrive in these and other practice areas. Previously, I have worked as a psychotherapist in private practice at Columbus Women's Wellness in Gahanna, OH and Empowered Therapy in Chicago, IL; as a clinical case manager and supervisor in housing services and community mental health settings in Chicago, IL; and provided trainings on trauma-informed practices to clinicians and educators. Additionally, I served as the Vice Chair of the Chicago Women’s Health Center Board Committee, and as a member of the Women Employed Advocacy Council. I hope to collaborate with other mental health professionals to infuse trauma-informed practices, creativity and belonging into mental health spaces.
