About Stephanie Sacks

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I am passionate about training mental health providers in evidence-based treatments for PTSD and trauma-informed care. I am a National Trainer and Consultant for Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, one of the gold-standard treatments for PTSD. I am also an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University in the College of Psychology and at the University of Southern California (Voluntary) where I teach courses on evidence-based therapies and Trauma/PTSD to graduate students in psychology and psychiatry. I am an expert in Traumatic Stress and have led numerous national and international workshops, trainings and webinars on trauma and PTSD in a multitude of settings, including at the National Center for PTSD. I am the founder of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Center of the Palm Beaches, a successful private practice specializing in evidence-based treatment for adults with PTSD, OCD-Spectrum Disorders and Anxiety Disorders. Most recently, I am developing a sub-specialty in working with journalists who are exposed to occupational chronic stress and trauma. I have received training from the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, a part of the Columbia Journalism School, and am a Journalist Trauma Support Network (JTSN) Member.
