About Stephanie Wescott

Hello! I'm a dedicated educator with a passion for empowering young minds and a background that blends hands-on teaching experience with specialized roles in data coordination and school publications. I graduated from Wichita State University in 2019 with a degree in Elementary Education and hold a TESOL certification, which has enhanced my ability to support diverse learners. My journey in education began with substitute teaching across Wichita Public Schools and surrounding districts (USD 259, USD 266, and USD 267), where I gained valuable, adaptable experience. I quickly transitioned into a full-time role at St. Mary Catholic School, where I taught 3rd grade for three years and 2nd grade for one year. In addition to teaching, I took on the role of Yearbook Coordinator, bringing creativity to our school community, and served as the PowerSchool Data Coordinator, streamlining student data management. Currently, I’m a 4th grade lead teacher with Emporia Public Schools, where I strive to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment. Beyond the classroom, I’m highly organized, love to plan, and am an avid traveler. These are all qualities that drive my interest in roles across education, social work (especially adoption and family support), or event planning. Although I love teaching, I am ready to get outside the classroom and I'm excited to bring my skills and passion for making a difference into a new opportunity where I can continue to grow, inspire, and create lasting impact.
