About Stephen Amaza

As a seasoned tech professional with over ten years of experience, I am dedicated to creating seamless and impactful user and customer experiences. My journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, where I made my first foray into technology. In 2015, I founded Codaye, a web development company focused on delivering solutions to small businesses and startups across Nigeria. Leading a team of talented developers, I successfully drove the creation of products that empowered clients to achieve their business goals. This entrepreneurial venture not only sharpened my leadership skills but also deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by businesses in emerging markets. My passion for building technology-driven solutions led me to the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST), where I was selected as one of only 60 candidates from across Africa for a prestigious scholarship. At MEST, I received rigorous training in building successful technological startups, which further enhanced my ability to drive innovation and growth. In 2017, I joined Paystack as a Product Implementation Specialist. Over the years, I have advanced to the role of Customer Success Lead, where I oversee the Developer Relations and User Operations teams. My primary focus is ensuring that Paystack's payment solutions provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for users across 6 countries. Under my leadership, these teams have significantly improved the scope of their responsibilities, achieving an 89.29% increase in response times. As I continue to lead and innovate, my ambition is to empower business owners across Africa to create products and processes that not only meet the unique demands of the African market but also drive growth and ensure they get paid. My commitment is to pave the way for a future where African businesses thrive on a global scale, setting new benchmarks in customer success and operational excellence.
