About Stephen Batcher

Since August of 2017, I have worked in the field of college admissions. Serving as an admission counselor, recruiting high school and transfer students. Additionally, I have continued to work in social media; managing campaigns and creating content. I began my professional career working in college athletics.I started in athletics as a student assistant at Concordia University, St. Paul athletic department, working with the Sports Information office. After graduation, I moved to Lafayette, Lousiana to work as an assistant for the University of Louisiana. I then spent two years out of the business before heading back to Concordia to serve as a graduate assistant in sports information. As a full-time graduate assistant, I worked with several athletic programs. After two years at Concordia and after completing my graduate degree, I began my role at the University of Minnesota, Morris, serving as the athletic communications director for four years. I oversaw all athletic communication. I oversaw a team of 10-15 student workers. Also, I taught two, eight-week sports media classes during the spring semester for each year I worked at UMM. After four years, I was hired to be the athletic communications director at Winona State, a job I held for a year. I again was the head of all athletic communication. I had one graduate assistant and five student workers that I was in charge of- Public Relations/Communications experience- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-Design, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Video Editing Software, Sidearm Websites- Knowledgeable Social Media user with experience in Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Mish Guru, and Flickr- Play-by-Play and Public Address Announcer experience- College Teaching Experience - Vast public speaking experience and interview experience- Experience hosting a radio show
