About Stephen Bernier

I have been involved in hundreds of geotechnical investigations for residential housing developments, commercial buildings, residential and commercial slope stability, retaining walls, powerlines, power substations, wind farms, solar farms, pipelines, oil and gas facilities, tank farms, landfills, lagoons, communication towers, municipal infrastructure, road construction and bridges. Most of my projects are in Alberta with some in BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. I typically prepare proposals, project manage and/or author geotechnical reports for the above-mentioned project types. I am familiar with preparing geotechnical report recommendations for various foundation types, slope stability (SLOPE/W or Slide2), road pavement structure design, lateral pile analysis (LPILE), settlement analysis (Settle3D), and I am always progressively honing my technical reporting, analysis and research skills. I have personally drilled almost everywhere in Alberta using nearly all drilling technologies common to Alberta; however presently, I am usually providing my expertise from the office.
