About Stephen Budgeon

I’ve spent over 20 years working at the intersection of aquaculture, technology, and data — starting in IT and gradually shifting toward improving how the industry uses data to make better decisions.Today, I’m part of the management team at ScaleAQ Software, where I focus on improving the customer experience and leading our growing analytics and reporting teams. We’re building tools that help farmers and managers turn their data into insights — supporting everything from daily operations to long-term planning. My job is to make sure customers get the most out of ScaleAQ’s software — whether it’s through onboarding, support, or helping shape the future of our products. I also work closely with our development teams to make sure customer feedback turns into real improvements.Lately, a big part of my focus has been helping ScaleAQ move from just collecting data to actually delivering meaningful analytics — dashboards, reports, and data pipelines that help our customers get a clearer picture of their operations.I’m at my best when working with good people — whether they’re developers, farmers, or stakeholders — and I believe the right mix of trust, collaboration, and a bit of curiosity goes a long way in making things better for both customers and the business.
