About Stephen Butski

I am a retail veteran with over 15 years of experience in a wide array of aspects of the business. I started my career at 16 years old learning the fundamentals of customer service and retail sales. From there, I honed in on many different skill sets such as visual merchandising, selling techniques, and retail management for multiple well established retailers, including Barney's New York, Bloomingdales, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, and Cole Haan. I knew this is what I wanted to do from a young age, so I enrolled at FIT where I learned state of the art practices and networked with industry leaders. After graduating, I began my tenure at Hudson's Bay Company, where I have helped launch 6 private label brands ranging from mass market to luxury for multiple international markets. As a merchandiser for these brands, I felt it was important to add sustainable elements to help secure the future of our global climate. My approach to brand strategy is to always be forward thinking and trend savvy. I have launched two brands that successfully cater to the Gen Z and Millennial subsets, which both have growing spending power every year. With my background, I can help existing brands tap into these markets through sustainable and inclusive initiatives.
