About Stephen Camozzi

I am currently working as a Mechanical Engineer (Senior I) for SLB in Clamart, France (Schlumberger-Riboud Product Centre), primarily focused on product sustaining and "rapid response" activities for the Wireline open hole technology portfolio (Reservoir Performance - Evaluation). Prior to this position I was a General Field Engineer for SLB (Reservoir Performance - Intervention), based in Mount Pearl, NL, Canada. My main focus was well intervention operations (Coiled Tubing) on the Hibernia and Hebron Platforms in offshore Newfoundland, occasionally performing related work in Alaska (field and engineering support), Labrador (project management, field supervision), and the Southern US (engineering support). Formerly as an undergraduate honours and masters student, I have studied biogenic turbulence within a school of small fish using acoustic Doppler velocimetry, in the Environmental Hydraulics Laboratory at McGill University. The objective of this research was to obtain biogenic turbulence statistics within a controlled lab environment, in order to help better understand the impacts of the aquatic biosphere on ocean energy dynamics and circulation. I am a hard-working and creative individual who enjoys finding novel solutions to complex problems, whether it be working alone or collaborating in a multidisciplinary team, always with front-line workers in mind. I enjoy being challenged, can effectively prioritize tasks, and don’t mind getting my hands dirty to help get a job done. Apart from engineering endeavours, I enjoy many outdoor sports and activities, in addition to reading, cooking, and music.
