Inspections Manager responsible for delivery of numerous inspection projects involving specialist access (particularly working at height, rope access, confined space), and managing a team of bridge and structures examiners. 15 years industry experience in civil/structural engineering specialising in working at height, confined space working and rescue, rope access, inspections/investigations, assessments, material testing, and health & safety legislation. 10 years as a structures examiner, working on Railway and Highways infrastructure, local authority buildings, buried/underground structures, telecoms masts, rooftops and building facades on new-builds, modern, and historic (and even ancient) structures. IRATA Level 2 Technician with rope access experience dating back to 2003, with experience of working in a wide variety of locations in both the built and the natural environment; from telecoms masts and skyscrapers, to bridges, viaducts and underground tunnel vent shafts, quarries, cliff faces, and caves. Confined space supervisor, with 4 years experience as leader of confined space rescue team, taking care of the safety of entrants in all manner of confined space environments, from winery production vessels in New Zealand, to underground waste storage tanks, and even inside 500MW electricity generators in UK power stations. Experienced in materials testing; concrete testing, concrete and steel coring, ultrasound thickness testing, dye penetrant weld testing.
