About Stephen Coleman
Hello! My name is Stephen, and I joined the Department of Animal Sciences as a faculty member in the Equine Sciences Program and the Breeding & Genetics Group in March 2015. My research group, the Animal Molecular Genetics Lab, works to understand how homeostasis is established and maintained in the gastrointestinal tract. I have expertise in molecular genetics and bioinformatics. I teach principles of equine genetics and molecular methods in animal genetics. I enjoy working with students in my lab and as an advisor to the CSU Polo Club (Women's Varsity - 2024 DII National Champions).
