Background

About Stephen Colgrave

I am an traffic engineer, planner and project manager with 17 years experience in the fields of traffic engineering, traffic signal design, urban design, traffic safety, traffic modelling and civil engineering in both London and Norway. My main skills include problem solving, innovation, sourcing and implementing the latest traffic technologies in projects. Emphasis on delivering projects to budget, on time and to relevant specifications, with health and safety requirements a foremost consideration. My current role of rådgiver also has given me the opportunity to use more advanced traffic modelling software such as aimsun as a way of analysing and assessing the affects of various projects in both the local area and the region as a whole. The transfer of ownership from a national body to the fylkeskommunene has led to many changes and an overall lack of expertise in Rogaland, so I also now have the opportunity to build up and train new people and eventually hope to have built a good professional environment here in the fylkeskommune.
