About Stephen Cox

My passion is taking things from 'What is' to 'What could be'- and all that that implies. My expertise is leading and guiding international teams to achieve relevance and success across cultures and languages. How I approach this: Design thinking,(because it helps to address the cause of things, not just the effects) and a relentless pursuit of diversity and inclusion (because that’s just common sense) have always infused my approach to marketing, digital, brand building, business planning and leadership across 20 years of senior management in Japan and Asia. What I do: I relish the challenge of creating something where before there was nothing, making a broken thing work, and making a good thing better. Throughout my career it’s the offers to do those things that I’ve taken on. Rarely have I filled a preexisting position; most often it’s been a newly created one, or one to create something new; to solve a systemic, existential, or operational problem - when a problem was clear, but the cause or solution was not.
