About Stephen Dorer

I have been working in engineering for over ten years and was raised in a family devoted to the industry. I started off working as an Architectural Technician at 16 with a small local company and laboured on sites for experience Once I had completed my A-Levels I started my HNC in construction and moved to Structa LLP. Structa provided me with a platform to undertake my Batchelors and Masters degrees on a part time basis whilst developing a wealth of on the job experiences. Whilst at Structa I worked on a range of projects in the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors, these were initially as a Structural Technician before I developed into an Engineer. I continued to work and train as an Engineer for a number of years. I made the very difficult decision to leave Structa after nine years of service which led me to Becro Engineering. Becro are Steelwork Fabricators who primarily work on the complex refurbishment projects in Central London. After many years I am now the man responsible for all of the decisions from finances to staff bickering.
