About Stephen Duckitt

Stephen is the Chief Events Officer for World Table Tennis. He is also the founder of SD Sports Management, a boutique sports event and marketing agency established in Hong Kong in 2012. Stephen was previously the Tournament Director of the Tianjin Open, a USD WTA International Series tournament held annually in Tianjin, China. Stephen was also the Tournament Director of the Taiwan Open, a USD 250,00 WTA International Series tournament that was held in Taiwan between 2016 and 2018. After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Technology in Sydney (UTS), Stephen’s career commenced in public relations and marketing with the environmental charity organisation - Planet Ark. After Planet Ark, Stephen worked for six and a half years as Senior Manager – PR & Marketing for the ATP World Tour, based in their International Group (Asia-Pacific) office in Sydney. His role saw him oversee the global and Asia-Pacific PR and marketing efforts of the ATP World Tour, travelling to tournaments across the world working with tournaments, sponsors, media and players including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal & Novak Djokovic. During his time with the ATP, Stephen was also responsible for managing the player services operations of the ATP’s season-ending Championships - Tennis Master Cup Shanghai (2005-2008)/ Barclays ATP World Tour Finals (2009-2011) and was a member of the ATP’s Aces for Charity program. In 2012, Stephen joined the China Open, Asia's largest international tennis tournament as a Senior Consultant. His consultancy saw him oversee a revitalisation of the tournament, making it one of the most successful sporting events in China. During his time there he provided adivce across tournament areas including event operations, player services, sponsorship, branding & marketing. He holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) and is currently based in Singapore.
