About Stephen Durber

Experienced Senior Engineer with a demonstrated history of working within the sub contract industry. Skilled in Laser, Waterjet, Robotic Bend Cell, Sheet Metal, Press Brake, Assemblies, Fixture Design and CAD/CAM Software. Since I was a young lad I was always dismantling things, curious as to how it all worked. Now I use that same ethos to solve engineering issues or to improve a process. There is always a way, it just takes thought, time and application. I started out in 1990 as a Laser machine Operator, working my way into various office positions, through years of college courses and determination. I am still based within that industry and now I am the Senior Cad Engineer. My role is varied. Amongst many - Assisting and training the operators on laser application, tech table manipulation to achieve the best cut and effective production. Offline programming of the Nukon flat bed laser and the Nukon tube laser. Using Solid works to produce manufacturing drawings or product design. I have travelled widely in my life, mainly through my love of scuba diving and eventually becoming a professional diving instructor. I have dived all around the UK, parts of Europe, Egypt, Caribbean, south East Asia and Australia. I lived and worked for many years as a diving instructor in Thailand and parts of the Philippines. Its amazing where a hobby can take you. A wonderful adventure is something everybody should do once in their lifetime
