About Stephen Eagle

Throughout my life I have taken old equipment apart and rebuilt or repaired them. About 15 years ago I started exploring computerisation and electronics which led to my choice of becoming an electronic engineer. During my third year of study, I was stimulated by the work and really enjoyed the practical parts where we designed and built actual circuits that could be applied in the real world. I have no doubt that I want to continue expanding my engineering knowledge and I am sure that I will make a positive contribution to the electronic engineering fraternity. I believe in a well-balanced life. I keep up to date with technological developments by being active on the internet. I also participate in social activities like touch rugby and volleyball with friends on weekends and most recently golf. Furthermore I am an avid squash player and represent the Pretoria Old Boys Club in their squash league which continuous throughout the year. I enjoy working with, and around people and see my future in this type of working environment. Leadership skills, honesty and integrity are values which I live by and are my strong points. The advancement in technology keeps me intrigued and encourages me to strive to improve on the development of technology in the interest of mankind. My main interests lie in the field of telecommunication and intelligent systems which include robotics, autonomous mobile vehicles and advanced sensor networks. This is why I am in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT).
