About Stephen Forsyth

My personal mission statement is that my success is a direct result of taking the things I learn each day and then applying those formal and informal lessons to better my life. I have a strong desire to learn and adapt to accomplish the goals I have made for my personal and working life. I have a passion for information security because I feel it is the core of an organization to control their assets and to prevent any type of data loss. I believe that leading people to develop their own skills and giving them the tools will be the motivation they need to succeed on their own terms to serve the goals of an organization. I strive to maintain my knowledge in a professional setting as well as developing my skills during off-work hours. I enjoy exploring new avenues in security to expand my knowledge to better understand the overall function of security within an organization. I have extensive experience with Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco routers and firewalls, and Linux (including BASH and Python scripting). In addition, I have learned the operation of a wide variety of video, voice and messaging solutions used in large organizations showing my ability to troubleshoot cross-platform issues that exist in complex environments. I have also been trained on Kali Linux, Nessus, and Metasploit penetration testing software. I have experience designing, and implementing, and securing LANs and WANs in large, small and growing environments. I hold current CISSP, CCSP and AWS CSA certifications. I am currently pursuing my CISM and OSCP.With my combination of formal education, professional training, personal experience and passionate drive to serve my customers, I am seeking continued success in my career as a security professional.
