About Stephen G Mount

Stephen acts internationally as an expert witness on auditing, financial reporting and corporate governance matters. He has acted for EY in NMC v EY and for HP against Autonomy and Deloitte; in professional negligence matters in the UK, DIFC and Hong Kong; and in regulatory matters for a number of international audit firms. He is a member of the Regulatory Decisions Committee of the Financial Conduct Authority and The Pension Regulator's Determinations Panel, and a past member of the Financial Reporting Council’s Audit Quality Review Committee. Previously he served as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair of Gama Aviation Plc. He Chaired the Audit and Finance and Performance Committees at several major NHS Hospital Trusts, was a member of the Audit Quality Review Committee of the Financial Reporting Council, a Governor of Reading Blue Coat School and a Trustee and Treasurer of New Forest Heritage. Stephen retired as a senior partner with PwC in 2016, after almost four decades auditing and advising FTSE, Fortune 500 and smaller/midcap listed companies in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia across a wide range of industry sectors. He served in management roles as UK Technology Industry Leader, Senior Partner of one of PwC's largest offices and Head of Marketing & Business Development for the South East. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and holds an MBA with Distinction from Warwick Business School and BSc(Econ) from University College London.
