About Stephen Gallagher

I spent most of my teenage and adult life pursuing an existence as a Professional Cyclist racing in Europe and all over the world. I left home to live in France at 17 where I spent 4 years racing on the amateur circuit and progressed into the professional ranks in 2003 for an Italian based team. I continued my progression as a Professional winning many races, including UCI stage races in both Europe and Asia which involved racing for teams in Italy, Belgium and France for 8 years. My focus turned to setting up a professional cycling coaching company, Dig Deep Coaching, with ex-teammate and professional coach Dan Fleeman. Dig Deep Coaching progressed to be a leader in coaching and education to cyclists, Triathletes, Mountain Bikers, CycloX riders across the globe helping people achieve their own ambitions and goals. I now coach and run the business full time and dedicate my time to progressing my own knowledge and learning from others, along with sharing knowledge and experiences with clients and fellow colleagues. Specialties: Coaching within the cycling world and progressing into triathlon and other endurance sports. I prefer to focus on the education of the athletes and helping them understand the benefits of training and adapting their lifestyle to help them reach their goal's and aims. Helping athletes be specific in every aspect of their training is a essential part of what I do and make the dedication and training a enjoyable experience in life.
