About Stephen Ghidella

With over 25 years’ experience in operations, design, project and construction management for various industrial businesses (minerals and energy), in Client and EPCM roles. I have been able to work in competitive business Senior Leadership roles while demonstrating the ability to deliver multi-discipline projects of all sizes, and organisational performance through innovative and problem solving. My behavioural leadership style, which is consultative and incorporates integrating strategies has allowed me to deliver economic, technical, social and environmental objectives. By positively engaging stakeholders to support those strategies with effective and mutually respectful two-way communication, particularly when formulating and implementing these plans, has led to the ongoing development of teams that reach their high performance potential through clear accountability, authority, support, encouragement and coaching. Two of my many successful projects were: Project Engineering Manager Anglo American G2, MG and MBS Projects several major achievements where: Facilitated the Setup of processes and systems for the Project Led and managed the Engineering of the EPCM and associated sub-consultants to deliver on schedule and within budget Area Manager of the Rio Tinto Alcan Yarwun 2 Project several major achievements where: Facilitating the implementation of systems and processes for the Contractors to develop concise and well-presented planning and scheduling documentation Leading and managing the team alignment for Tie-ins and Interface between Construction and operations. This resulted in the major one-week shutdown being completed 48 hours ahead of schedule with no reported safety incidences
