As a dedicated and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with over 10 years of experience in boat manufacturing, he brings a wealth of expertise in financial management, strategic planning, business development, and executive leadership. His tenure at Aspen, a custom boat manufacturer where every new boat build is unique, has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of managing both the financial and operational facets of a business. People have remarked that he has the equivalent of 30 years of experience compressed into his almost 10 years at Aspen. In his role as CFO, he has successfully overseen financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the business. He was instrumental in navigating through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, successfully attaining both rounds of Paycheck Protection Program funds for the company and the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC). He has led a team of 40 employees, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. His responsibilities have included managing executive-level functions such as strategic decision-making, business development, and stakeholder relations. During his time at Aspen, he has been the #2 business leader and the person in charge in the absence of the owner. Outside of work, he enjoys a variety of personal interests that keep him balanced and fulfilled. He loves spending time with his dogs, hiking, and kayaking, which lets him appreciate the beautiful natural surroundings of Skagit Valley. He is very close with his family and cherishes the moments they share together. Additionally, he enjoys taking his trailer and going glamping, which allows him to experience nature with a touch of comfort and style. Living in Skagit Valley is a dream come true for him, offering endless outdoor activities from the islands to the mountains.
