About Stephen Grant

I am a current undergrad at Princeton University where I am concentrating my studies in Anthropology. I am passionate about wildlife conservation and have experience working for several conservation-based NGOs and for-profit organizations including SeaWorld San Diego, Bronx Zoo, Utah’s Hogle Zoo, Tracy Aviary, and WildAct Vietnam. Specifically, I am interested in the illegal wildlife trade and its effects on ecosystems and public health as well as sustainable ex-situ population management strategies. I have also had opportunities in conservation research studying an aggregate of leopard sharks (Triakis semifasciata) with the Recovery and Resiliance Lab at UCSB’s Marine Science Institute and birds from the Middle East with Dr. Cagan Sekercioglu’s Biodiversity & Conservation Ecology Lab at the University of Utah. My career goal is to be in a leadership position in a conservation organization. I am currently looking for open positions at an AZA organization in education, human resources, and animal care departments.
