About Stephen Grindley

Stephen has over 30 years’ experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment with the last twenty years as a director in various roles, growing and developing engineering consultancies of various sizes through the growth of existing relationships and increase of market position, improving cross disciplinary working, particularly between pre-planning and design delivery services. Identifying strengths and capability gaps within the team, building senior management teams through recruitment, and mentoring and providing consensus leadership His experience is based mainly in central London and the south -east supplemented with experience of working overseas in Europe, the Middle East and India. He has experience of leading and managing from small to complex design projects up to £300 million in value. This has involved working closely with clients at initial consultation and advisory stages, together with forming a collaborative relationship with the design team. Stephen is involved in the bidding, design and supervision of major opportunities and interdisciplinary projects undertaken across the practice and has a thorough understanding of full-cycle design from client brief, concept design through to delivery of the final product with a focus on sustainability. He works with developers and clients as trusted adviser to develop repeat business using tried and trusted solution based problem solving through innovative applications. Stephen has a proven track record for developing an open and positive client relationship leading to repeat commissions. He is currently involved with the site selection, due diligence, masterplanning and detailed design of data centre facilities, mainly across Europe. These comprise of single dedicated data centres, co-location facilities and hyperscale data centre campus.
