Stephen has a strong background in public policy and business development, specializing in the telecommunications industry. As the Head of Global Public Policy, Strategic Accounts and Business Development at Telesat (NASDAQ & TSX: TSAT), he drives the company's mission to be a trusted partner to governments and strategic customers worldwide. In this role, he works to enable Telesat’s partners to meet their key objectives, notably bringing next-generation high-speed Internet to everyone, everywhere. Stephen's experience in both terrestrial and space-based telecommunications, complemented with a background in public affairs consulting, have enabled him to take a holistic approach to Telesat's public policy and business development strategies. Throughout his time at the company, he has played a pivotal role in securing and negotiating approximately $2.5 billion in committed investments and over $700 million in committed revenue for Telesat Lightspeed, the company's highly innovative, next-generation low earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation.
