About Stephen Henning

With work experience in a highly technological field, I take it a step further to create work that is meaningful and that contributes to my environment. My passion is to make the lives of my team and clients better with my presence. I started my career in the mechanical/industrial engineering industry coming out of the food service industry. With a background of mathematics and physics studies in college, I quickly studied and learned the ins and outs of the oil refining process and how my role drafting Process & Instrumentation Diagrams serves the greater vision of safety and increased production. I quickly rose from my initial intern role, being trusted with increased responsibility to deliver complex drawing packages with high quality and efficiency. As the production coordinator within my team, I meticulously coordinate priorities with my team, train in new programs and skills, and gracefully communicate with engineers and project managers on a daily basis. These are all, of course, human skills that work in any environment. My abiding passion for human connection is ultimately amplified in my passion for great stories told with great audio. Across my years of experience hosting and producing two of my own podcasts,"K(no)w Normal People" and "Ravel", as well as working as an Audio Engineer and Engineer for The Bible For Normal People, I have only grown more deeply convinced that the stories we tell, the connections we forge, and the discussions we have about things that matter to us are served best by the power and intimacy of the voice. I love to make compelling audio that entertains you, that informs you, and that expands your view of our shared life together.
