Over 30 years engineering experience within the power industry. Background in process control, process simulation, mechanical system design, piping system design, and equipment specification / procurement. Major employers include Duke Energy, Duke/Fluor Daniel, Shaw Group, CB & I, and McDermott. Served as Control System Lead for multiple EPC projects, both domestic and international. Control system hands-on experience developing control strategy, programming, debug and start-up for multiple digital control upgrades. Managed new simulator definition and development on multiple EPC projects. Simulator hands-on experience developing, programming, merging with process control, debugging, tuning, and supporting training on retrofit projects. Experience coordinating solutions to design issues and developing tools to simplify future project execution via documents such as: Design Guides, White Papers, Master Specifications, etc. Experience in developing knowledge transfer program to develop and retain key capabilities within an engineering organization.
