About Stephen Kearney

I started my career at Allegro Acoustics as a graduate engineer over 10 years ago. Joining a small but ambitious company gave me the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile building and industrial projects, take on meaningful challenges, and grow quickly into a leadership role. Now, as Technical Director, I lead a talented team of acoustic consultants who are committed to solving complex noise challenges. I’m especially proud of the work I’ve done to build and develop our team, mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning. From organising CPDs and technical workshops to developing in-house tools and calculators that simplify our projects, I strive to give my team the expertise and resources they need to thrive. Professionally, I’m passionate about creating environments that work for people, businesses, and communities. Whether it’s delivering excellent acoustic spaces for buildings, resolving industrial noise issues, or improving workplaces, I enjoy working with clients to tackle challenges and achieve results they can count on. Seeing progress, both in projects and in people, is what drives me. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find me outdoors, taking on my next adventure. I’ve been mountain biking for over 12 years, exploring the trails around Dublin, Wicklow and throughout Ireland. When the waves call, I surf in spots like Bundoran and Rossnowlagh Beach. I also spend time rock climbing, whether it’s at my local wall in Tallaght or occasionally Dalkey Quarry. In recent years, I have also been trying my hand at snowboarding. I believe in staying positive and making the most of life’s opportunities, whether that’s building a great team, growing a company, or chasing the next trail or climb.
