About Stephen Kenn

I've had the privilege of exploring Los Angeles for the last 17 years. I moved to LA from Canada while working on a denim brand called Iron Army with my friend Steve Dubbeldam. After a few years learning about the fashion industry on our own we were given an opportunity by Peter Kim of Hudson jeans to build another brand from the ground up. This brand was called City-of-Others. My next project was born out of a small studio in Korea-town called Temple bags. I made 88 bags by hand over the course of 9 months and learned the detailed process of developing canvas and leather bags. After selling Temple and continuing to work for the new owner for a few years my wife asked a probing question. What's next? This got me thinking about bigger challenges. A few months later I developed my first furniture collection called "The Inheritance Collection" under the brand name Stephen Kenn. My wife and I now create made to order furniture and design and manufacture leather bags which we call The Encounter Collection.
