As a Critical Environment Technician (CET), I am responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting essential infrastructure systems in mission-critical facilities like data centers, hospitals, or manufacturing plants. My duties typically include managing HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime. I perform routine inspections, respond to alarms, and follow safety protocols to prevent system failures. Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of critical infrastructure are key in my role. Previously, I worked as a Critical Facility Engineer at Facebook, where I supported the operation and maintenance of the data center's mechanical systems. In this role, I leveraged my information technology education and training to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, as well as to collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. I also developed my team building and training abilities, as I helped to mentor and coach new and junior engineers.
