About Stephen Leon

Steve Leon brings a wealth of education and experience to any environment he becomes involved with. His extensive resume and strong work ethic have consistently resulted in him becoming a vital asset to the communities he has influenced. Steve retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He began his military career by initially attending the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland and later transitioning to the enlisted community. During his career, Steve served onboard ballistic missile and attack submarines in the capacity of Weapons Systems Technician. Additionally, he served as a Military Instructor for general and specialized courses. The highlight of his military service came about when Steve was selected to teach at, and subsequently manage, the Navy’s Instructor Training School, located at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Upon leaving active military service, Steve worked as a Technical Instructor for three years at a private college in Phoenix, Arizona, in addition to serving as the Night Director for campus operations. Steve was later employed by the Arizona Department of Public Safety as a State Trooper. He initially served in the Highway Patrol Division and later transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division, where he held a coveted Detective position within the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). While in these assignments, Steve attended and received certifications from several, nationally-renowned, investigations training programs. In addition, he was certified by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZPOST) Board to teach general and specialized law enforcement courses. Steve has additional employment experience in the private security field as a College Campus Police Officer, Private Investigator and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). He also worked as a training consultant in the risk management industry. Steve proudly volunteered with the Maryland Right to Life, Knights of Columbus, Joint Veterans Committee of Maryland, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Catholic War Veterans of the USA, US Submarine Veterans, Inc, and Missing in America Project.
