About Stephen Malkowski

Stephen Malkowski, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has devoted his adult life to business development, leadership, and community service. While majoring in Business at UW-Milwaukee, he joined Eastern Airlines and became one of the youngest staff executives and held management posts that included National Accounts, Interline Affairs, and U.S.Postal/Government Affairs. He subsequently formed Aero Services, an IATA-recognized GSA, and brought his business and government affairs experience to the Air Logistics Industry in a fresh, entrepreneurial way. Already considered a Domestic, International and Alaska expert, he quickly became a highly regarded Russian specialist by becoming one of the first Americans involved with bringing Aeroflot Russian International Airlines into the United States market after the break-up of the Soviet Union. This required him to become a high-level, multi-cultural liaison/facilitator between the FAA, the Port of Seattle, US Customs and Immigration as well as the Seattle Russian Embassy. He has held board and member positions on numerous committees including: The Air Transport Association (ATA) Postal Affairs Committee, the Gore- Chernomyrdin Commission (GCC) Transportation Sub-Committee, the SEA-TAC Airport Airline Managers Committee, the SEA-TAC Airport Emergency Planning Committee, and President of the Seattle Tacoma Air Cargo Association. After selling his successful GSA business, Stephen became an active community member of Clatsop County, OR and has served as board member on the Necanicum Estuary Stewardship Council and the Clatsop County Southwest Coastal Advisory Commission. He was also appointed Planning Commissioner for Clatsop County. As a Licensed Airline Transport Pilot with an unblemished record, Stephen Malkowski has concurrently served as a Captain with SkyWest Airlines and is type rated in the EMB 120, CRJ 200, 700 and 900. He presently resides with his wife, Cynthia, in Sun City, Arizona after recently selling the highly acclaimed Arch Cape Inn and Retreat in Cannon Beach, OR which he founded and developed into a five-star lodging and dining destination. They have two sons, Aaron, a 2002 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT and Tyler, a 2006 graduate of George Fox University, Newberg Oregon.
