I am an accomplished, customer-facing technology solutions engineer with 30 years of experience in establishing and growing multi-level customer relationships, deriving answers to complex technology challenges, and supporting build-to-last Service Provider offers. I am the lead systems engineer on a multi-million dollar SD-WAN initiative. The major service provider that I support has announced this offer last year and is on-boarding several customers positioning more features as the offer diversifies to with major attention on security. The offer expanded to include Security Access Service Edge (SASE) incorporating cloud-based security. My knowledge of DNS Security, Firewalls, IPS, URL Filtering, Advanced Malware Protection, Cloud Access Security Broker, Secure Web Gateway, and Security Internet Gateway was critical in driving this offer to market. The offer also has a Remote Teleworker component that includes an edge device for the home, also known as the branch of one, that runs an SD-WAN image to take full advantage of all SD-WAN/SASE features. I have expanded my competence with virtualization to become a technical lead on major virtual network functions opportunities on both proprietary and white box hardware, developing solutions that include Routing, Firewall, WAN Acceleration, as well as other virtualized applications. Prior to my focus on the above offer, I was lead engineer on a multi-million dollar hosted telephony service that offers call control, voice mail, and other features from the cloud, includes a fulfillment and customer care management suite, and integrates billing into existing BSS/OSS systems. The major provider that I support has been on-boarding customers onto this offer for five years, is also using the solution internally, and is now investigating integration with SD-WAN. This solution requires that I be proficient with data center infrastructure comprised with many applications running virtualized. I currently hold the following certifications: Full CCIE, Cisco DEVNET Associate, CISSP, and Palo Alto Strata Associate. My determination and focus at work is paralleled by my personal interest in martial arts, training and teaching, keeping in great physical and mental condition, and developing awareness and discipline that extend into my daily life.
