About Stephen Milne

As a professional, I have worked as an interior designer; color and trend forecaster (DuPont); advisor on and dealer of art and fine antiques to private collectors, museums (Smithsonian Institution), and companies (Corning); and account executive for sales of all home accessories at a leading luxury Manhattan store (Bergdorf Goodman). Intellectually insightful, I have identified profitable business opportunities, anticipated style and market trends, and met challenges with innovation. My forward-looking sense of style has also been shown in high-end interior design work for Noel Jeffrey Inc, Anne Eisenhower Inc. and private clients. My drive for excellence carried over to my own business ventures-selectively buying and selling Frederick Carder Steuben glass. I soon established a blue-chip client base that included the Cooper Hewitt/Smithsonian Design Museum, Newark Museum of Art, Corning Museum of Glass, Wichita Art Museum, Steuben, and a lengthy sales relationship with GUMP’S of San Francisco. My national reputation (legendary interior designer Albert Hadley wrote that I have a "keen eye") earned me a position on the Antiques Roadshow as a featured expert. I've also garnered extensive press coverage in the New York Times, San Francisco Business Times, Wine Spectator, House & Garden, and House Beautiful’s book, Great Style. These and other publications emphasized my focus on superlative quality and my expertise.
