About Stephen Muindi

I am a seasoned Finance professional with over 17 years' career experience in developing & leading agile international projects covering finance systems & MIS, financial reporting, payments and regulatory reporting within the banking industry. I have been at the forefront of devising ways of improving financial processes, reporting MIS & business efficiency thereby improving accuracy and timeliness of finance reports over the years. I have handled various finance implementation projects in Kenya and across Africa and in collaboration with teams outside Africa. This has given me a solid foundation in managing wide scope projects, working with diverse teams and spearheading finance change Projects I have Handled over the years include : IFRS 9 Implementation. I took the lead to drive the IFRS 9 implementation project at country level working withe the group implementation team. Led the Roll out of People Soft Financials (PSF) as the Main General Ledger (GL) of the Bank. The project involved replacement of SUN Systems as the Financial ledger and interfacing of the various transaction processing systems including the core banking systems to the PSF GL. In 2010, I worked in the team that led the Integration of the Custody business from Barclays to SCB. I was the finance representative in the country working committee during the integration.
