About Stephen Padua

I spend a lot of time with my family, doing anything outdoors, and my work so here's my attempt at summarizing my professional experience in six points. I’m a transportation professional with over a decade of experience in local government, focused on building safe, sustainable, and community-oriented transportation systems.2. I've always been passionate about transportation planning, exploring safe systems from the perspective of the most vulnerable users, and ensuring accessible services for community members with the highest needs.4. I've managed multiple levels of planning projects for large and small cities which include corridor design, subarea and city-wide plans, small project programs, education programs and volunteer programs and working with different types of advisory boards and commissions. I started my professional career doing GIS analysis but realized there's more fun in planning. My leadership style is collaborative, data-informed, and grounded in public service.6. I always enjoy meeting new people and sharing the knowledge I've gained over my life, so reach out if you're looking for guidance, want to talk shop or looking for someone to try that new coffee shop. My family is from Hawaii and I was raised in the Pacific Northwest, so I'm naturally fascinated by the ocean and the mountains. I like to explore different mountain peaks through hiking and trail running and I explore different waterways on my outrigger canoe.
