Over 30 years in the Telecommunications industry focusing my experience, expertise in support, and implementation of Voice/Data networks. SSCA certified in May 2019. My telecom journey started by serving in the US Army Signal Corp supporting Tropospheric Radio, Microwave Radio and Communication Centers, including the White House for President Ronald Reagan. Over my long career I’ve had the chance to work for several telecom equipment vendors such as, Acme Packet/Oracle, Nortel, Lucent and Sonus Networks. Moreover, I had an opportunity to be employed by several telecom providers such as MCI/Verizon, Intrado, IntelePeer, Teletech Ring Central and Charter. My experience includes everything from Microwave RF, Wireless, Central Office repair, Nortel DMS 100/250/300, Lucent 5ESS, Alcatel DEX 600E, Sonus GSX Sonus SBCs and Acme Packet SBCs, and Nokia IMS. Work largely involved Network Engineering and Technical Operations Support on a wide range of Voice hardware/software applications without being limited to a single technology. I started with traditional TDM voice applications (SS7, ISDN, CAS, DSO) and then transitioned into the VOIP environment (SIP, SIGTRAN, MGCP). My career advanced in lockstep with technology and now includes data analytics with Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), and Filebeats.
