When first leaving school, I worked at a privately owned building products sales outlet (eventually bought by Build Base) for 9 years, before starting work at Red Bank Manufacturing Company sorting and packing bricks from the kiln.After 12 years working on the shop floor, I went into production management for 4 years and was then promoted to Plant Manager in 2004.In 2013, I enrolled for the ‘Foundation Degree in Clay Technology’, at the University of Derby, where I graduated with a distinction in 2016. I have also passed the NEBOSH General Certificate too.I am responsible for the health and safety and delegation of 36 personnel and the budgeted production of both clay and concrete building products, maintenance, order picking and loading.
