I am a highly personable, strategic, open & independently-minded all-round business leader, with long experience in the aviation sector. I am particularly adept at quickly developing strong relationships, which when aligned with my practical business experience successfully delivers great strategic and operational outcomes. I enjoy developing strategic vision & plans, forging new commercial partnerships to accelerate growth, and always positively impacting culture and performance. I love learning about businesses, understanding how they work, and from that base exploring new opportunities. This relentless curiosity has led to my having great interest in developing commercial partnerships, alliances and joint ventures – a journey sparked initially by my immersion into the world of airline alliances as an active participant in the original foundation of the Star Alliance. I am currently the Executive Director of the Board of Airline Representatives Australia (BARA) which is an industry association representing the major international airlines that operate to Australia. This includes collective bargaining under competition commission authority in Aus) with providers of aviation infrastructure - basically airports and other monopolies such as air traffic management (ANSPs). It's a role that requires all the experience and relationship skills I have gained from my career to communicate, influence, negotiate and persuade - and with aviation always in the media headlines it makes for a very fulfilling role! In addition to the 'day job' I am interested in board opportunities where my experience and connections can assist growth and partnership opportunities.
