About Stephen Phelan
I joined Movement Mortgage as Chief Pastoral Officer, a unique position in a unique company. I am passionate about receiving and sharing the unrelenting, unfailing, unstoppable, and unconditional love of Jesus Christ, which I look forward to doing in and through Movement in the years to come. I grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, then went to school at the University of Virginia for my undergraduate and law degrees, and added a Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. After seminary, God called me to San Diego where I planted a church in the inner-city and helped lead a multi-site, multi-congregational church with 8 campuses in San Diego committed to planting churches that are for the city. I look forward to working alongside my good friend, Casey Crawford, and taking my 13 years of experience in urban ministry and applying it throughout the city of Charlotte and all over the world.
