Before I joined the Merrill team my father founded over 50 years ago, I was a consultant for a software design company. In that role, I had to understand each client's obstacles and objectives before we could implement a technology solution. As a wealth management advisor, I take a similar approach to client relationships. My emphasis is on consulting, not prescribing.
