About Stephen Poltz

In my most recent positions, I have excelled in the QA field in both Validation and Verification. While the emphasis of my experience has been with manual testing, I have recently had the opportunity to create automation scripts using AutoIT and AutoHotKey. I have also taken several programming classes in Python via Coursera.com to expand my skills base. My career goal is to manage a QA team by expanding my automation experience and leveraging my previous IT management experience. Outside of work, I am an avid reader of genre fiction. I have my own blog http://itstartedwiththehugos.blogspot.com/ where I post my reviews of the books I read. Recently, an author tweeted a link to my review of her book, generating nearly 100 hits to that page. I am an "uber user" for the Worlds Without End genre book blog, assisting in the upkeep of the site by adding books, authors, and publishers to the database. I also work one evening a week at a local Bikram yoga studio, staffing the front desk, checking in students, answering the phones, and helping with the general upkeep of the studio.
