Hard working and dedicated Ground Operations Manager (Nominated person) with over 20 years experience working in Aviation Operations & Crew Control departments of international charter, cargo, low cost airlines and executive jets with multiple aircraft types & AOCs. Experienced in maintaining over flight and cabin crew rosters ensuring they operate within CAP371 & company requirements. Career Highlight: In November 2007 I was selected for secondment to Thailand for six months as Base Manager during the damp lease of XL Airways Boeing 737-800s to Thai operator “Nok Air”. My mission was to recover the damaged relationship caused by the previous seconded employee. I introduced new procedures as well as establishing and maintaining good intercompany communications, ensuring that both XL Airways and Nok Air crew operating on our aircraft flew under rules and regulations as set out in XL Airways CAP371 FTL. This included both writing of advance rosters for crew and day to day operational management. I was the point of contact for all crew and management whenever they had any issues or questions. It was a challenge to help Nok Air understand our procedures due to the extreme differences between the two companies’ FTL; but with my patience, professionalism and understanding of local culture. I succeeded in rebuilding the relationship between XL and Nok Airlines, in doing so gaining the respect and friendship of Management and staff at all levels. I received many thanks from Nok Air upon my departure and a formal request to XL that I be seconded to them again in order to manage the proposed 2008/2009 damp lease arrangements. Following the success of this secondment I was asked by XL Directors if I would also be prepared to take on a UK Monitoring role of future overseas leasing operations which were to include aircraft placements in Canada, Finland and India.
