Farris Engineering, founded in 1967, is a 100 percent employee-owned consulting engineering firm providing quality services to clients. Farris has evolved over the past four+ decades into a successful multi-discipline firm specializing in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection/detection, lighting, technology, and industrial engineering services with emphasis on sustainability in the healthcare, education, commercial, plant/industrial energy, and government/military sectors. Farris currently has more than 60 employees in four offices; Colorado Springs, Omaha, Lincoln, and Des Moines. Farris has 23 professional engineers who are collectively registered in 27 states and has provided engineering services in at least 42 states. In addition, Farris has 10 LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP), Certified Geo-exchange Designers (CGD), Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), and Qualified Commissioning Process Providers (QCxP). Farris is classified as a Small Business by the SBA Standards. My specialties: Mechanical engineering, including HVAC, controls, plumbing, and fire protection, for primarily existing K-12 education, higher education, department of defense, and commercial facilities with an emphasis on energy efficient/sustainable upgrades.
