For more on Steve and his firm, please see Some recent examples of results include the following: Jury verdict (and 93A award by Judge) for client (plaintiff) in case alleging breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing on behalf of homeowner against national contracting company, including double damages award and attorneys fees; Obtained Land Court ruling determining client was beneficiary of trust and therefore entitled to 1/3 beneficial interest in million dollar rental property outside Boston; Filed suit in Middlesex Superior Court on behalf of prior owner to force reconveyance of rental property and secured settlement for that relief; Secured dismissal on behalf of well-known financial markets analyst and commentator of defamation and commercial disparagement case in NY court; Survived two motions to dismiss in case on behalf of Massachusetts shareholder for oppression brought against large foreign vaccine company in federal court, case ongoing; Secured reach and apply order against judgment debtor to secure client’s decade old judgment and resolve case; Obtained a summary judgment decision in Land Court for a developer holding that a large, national mortgage company failed to comply with foreclosure rules thereby rendering the foreclosure sale invalid; Obtained summary judgment in consumer protection case against against used car dealer for failure to provide full disclosure required by Massachusetts law; Settled a real estate title dispute involving family members after a grueling, hotly contested litigation in Land Court; Settled a long-running matter involving an alleged oral agreement to establish a loan and mortgage on a waterfront property on the South Shore; Currently litigating multiple consumer protection matters involving contractors and homeowners, on both sides; Steve is a tireless advocate on behalf of his clients and is committed to protecting their rights, whether they be contractual rights, freedom from retaliation, or simply ensuring someone has a strong representative on their side.
