Background

About Stephen Sam

What started as a medium for me to bond with and assist my father became a magnetic relationship between me and technology. Together, we serviced electronics of people who could not afford to go to a professional and more often than not, we would fix these devices free of charge. My father’s self-taught education with computers and selfless devotion to those in need was a significant imprint on my life. He inspired me to discover knowledge on my own, but also reminded me to use my passions as a way to give back to my community. These experiences led me to pursue my own interest in technologies, from video games to learning about the operating systems of mobile device. Fast forward 20+ years, this same passion has driven me to my current career path. I have completed numerous internships at business and technology driven companies, as well as conducted research in Computer Science. I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Connecticut. My abilities include problem solving, programming, teaching, and public speaking amongst many others. Currently I have proficiency in Python, Java/Groovy, and JavaScript. I have experience with Azure Cloud as well. I am actively adding new languages, frameworks, and skills to my toolbox.
