About Stephen Scott

As Director, Investments at the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB), Stephen leads infrastructure project finance transactions in partnership with and for the benefit of Indigenous communities. He has closed nearly $600 million in loans across 16 financing transactions for community infrastructure projects or Indigenous equity stakes. Prior to joining the CIB, Stephen came from a background in commercial mid-market lending, wherein he was recognized with national performance awards at RBC and TD. Stephen, a proud member of the Métis Nation of Ontario, has roots in Lac Ste Anne settlement in Alberta and across the Métis Homeland. Having not grown up there, Stephen prioritizes spending time with his Métis side of the family in western Canada; connecting with the urban Indigenous community in Toronto, where he lives as a guest on Treaty 13 territory; and working to support Indigenous reconciliation. Stephen serves as the Vice-Chair of the board of the Métis Voyageur Development Fund and is a member of the Métis Infinity Investments Board. Stephen is also the Chair of the Board of Directors of Anishnawbe Health Foundation, on which he has served since 2019. Stephen holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
