About Stephen Sennott

Chicago-based architectural historian and technical report author employed in the Environmental Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory to conduct field-based historic building inventories and evaluations for National Register of Historic Places eligibility. Related experience in completing HABS documentation, historic building condition assessments, and historic architecture managemen plans. Co-authored technical reports and historic contexts (California, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Alaska and Japan) to assist federal agencies in meeting regulations associated with the National Historic Preservation Act (Sections 106 and 110). Thirty years of experience in college-level teaching, archival research, acadmic and museum publications, and project editing with a specialization in 19th- and 20th-century American architecture and engineering, buildng types, construction materials, architects, and urban planning.
