I am a dedicated and experienced Corrosion and QA/QC Specialist with over two decades of hands-on involvement in the construction and engineering industry. My career began in 2003 at Sishen Iron Ore Mine (Northern Cape, South Africa) as a third-party QA/QC inspector, focusing on corrosion control. In 2005, I continued my journey at Thabazimbi Iron Ore Mine, and by 2006, I was awarded the opportunity to lead QA/QC inspections at Exxaro Grootegeluk Mine—a role I held until 2020. My 14+ years at Grootegeluk exposed me to a wide range of projects and disciplines, expanding my core expertise beyond corrosion to include steel fabrication, structural installation, welding, and civil works. This foundation laid the groundwork for my continued growth when I joined Collaborit Engineering Services in 2021. There, I advanced into a Corrosion Specialist role, conducting corrosion surveys on smelters, refineries, and concentrator plants, while further developing my skills in construction management, quality assurance, and team leadership.
